Ranging in date from the inception of the School in 1908 to the present day, the collections of research and teaching papers of Harvard Business School faculty provide crucial insight into the evolution and impact of business theory and education. Faculty members have been leaders and innovators, developing new areas of research and applying theoretical frameworks in and outside of the classroom.
Faculty research collections often contain course syllabi, case preparation materials and drafts, research data, lecture and seminar notes, professional correspondence, and editorial work. Due to faculty involvement in innovative and emerging industries, many collections also include records from institutional or company archives that served as subjects for HBS faculty research.
